the crocodile in the story of Peter Pan

£165

the crocodile in the story of Peter Pan £165
The crocodile for many is the star in the story of Peter Pan, so its not surprising that it became a popular pull-a-long toy during the first quarter of the 20th century. It would follow a young child very much as it did Peter Pan.
This exceptional example has a "Folk Art" quality about it, beautifully carved wood with leather joints, the original paint now acquiring the patination of a well loved toy.
59.5 cm long.
