A wonderful wool sampler that follows the tradition of many Gaelic samplers By Lidia Adams Harrison, born 3.3.1833 to Mary Ann & Thomas a coastguard, working from Portsmouth. Her sewing skills learnt at M. Harvey,s school in Axmouth worked well as she was working as a dressmaker in 1861. She died in 1866.
