This historic sampler is illustrated in the landmark book published by Marcus Huish in 1913, pl.22 having come from his collection. Previously in The Fine Art Society's collection of old needlework.

Worked in very fine green silk note the vowels, rare at this time, the use of an f instead of an s and no J in the alphabet. |
