Emily Harriet Pemble (1875-1967) born to Edward & Harriett Pemble a grocers assistant, she married Harry George Mount in 1900 a nursery man. they had three sons and a daughter. In 1891 she was working as a drapers apprentice aged 14. She died in march 1967 aged 92 in Bridge.
The Wesleyan School St. Peters Street Canterbury. in a school eport of 1889 it was awell managed and flourishing institution, the school was neat and well kept and the system of the master Mr.S.Walker, is based on the elementary style worthy of the consideration of the better class families in the district. Built in 1870 and enlarged in 1886 for 420 children, Av.attendence 350.
