  Large PRATT WARE LION. circa 1800 £1200  
Stunning and rare late 18th Century Staffordshire pearlware Lion, decorated in bright "Prattware" colours Seen standing with his front paw on a yellow ball. Great features including a wonderful face with open mouth to reveal tong and teeth. Long looping tail over his back.

Standing on a stepped base with acanthus leaf moulded edge.

Probably Staffordshire circa 1790-1800.

Height 9 & 1/2 inches (24cm), Length 11 inches (28 cm); deph 5 1/2 inch ( 14 cm).

Condition. Professional restoration to tail, probably made up but very good. Front corner of base in front of ball brocken off and restored. Corner original. No other apparent restoration or damage.
